Midterm Project Reflection

 

So far throughout this course, I have learned many things that will help me in my future career as a teacher.  We have discussed the Social-Interactive model of teaching, which looks at the following:

- Positive interdependence

- Individual Accountability

- Group Processing

- Social Skills

In addition, we have discussed how to manage behavior in a classroom, and different lesson plan styles.  I addition to the traditional, lecture-like direct lesson plans, there is inquiry (or discovery) based lessons, and collaborative lessons.  In addition, because of the fieldwork we have been doing with Bishop Dunn, I have learned how to write and implement not only a lesson plan, but a whole unit plan.
